Just wanted to clarify this statement:
I think the original post did not differentiate between the 250 Prod class and the 250 Open $$ class. It was intended to be the 250 Open $$ class ONLY. The 250 Prod class is a 250cc max class. The Open class is 296cc max. Therefore a modified Raptor, a stock 300EX, a hybrid 250 can all run the Open $$ class, but not the 250 Prod class. In case you are asking yourself, why the 300EX? let me explain. A 300EX stock has a 282cc diplacement and therefore can run in the Open $$ class. However.....if you are running a built 300 you will not be able to run this class as your motor will be oversized. So where can you run??? the 300 Open class (up to 398cc), this would also include a stock LTZ 400 as it has a 398cc displacement. If you have a built 300EX you can also run in the Production C, Production B or the Youth under 20 class or if you happen to be over 20 and still runnning a 300 you can run in the Sport 20 - 30 class. For any further questions on this matter or any other matters about NWQN plese feel free to email me at dawn@fantomzatv.com.
mamafite wrote:As for the payout scale we will have payout guidelines added to the 2010 rules on fantomzatv.com just as soon as I figure out the excel spreadsheet for it. But just to give you a preview of how it works I will attempt to expalin it here:
Pro payout: 100% of entries for the class are totaled. 30% is given to 1st place, 30% of the remaining balance in given to 2nd, 30% of reamaining balance is given to 3rd...so on and so on...in the end there is a remaining balance. The remaining bal is then added to the the 1st place payout.
All money classes are paid in this manner except Pro-Am and 250 $$ class are calculated on 50% of the total entries...
I know there was a question about the Vet Pro and originally it was set up the same as the Pro. I forgot to get clarification on this class so I will have to get back on this one tomorrow. I know there are 2 options though: run it the same as Pro or run it the same as Pro-Am and 250$$. The payout would be less if we went with the latter but the entries would be less as well.

"Open" doesn't always refer to the cc's. In this case, "Open" means that the engine type or chassis type is optional. In other words, the 250cc Hybrids can run in this class, where they can not run in the 250cc Production class.
